Clicking on the Bing chat icon opens the ChatGPT-powered chat window where you can ask questions and converse with Bing chat. While the Bing chat is helpful, if you are not using it, the big toolbar icon can be a distraction. Not to mention, the icon just looks out of place in the Edge browser.

Hide Bing Chat Icon in Microsoft Edge Browser

If you don’t want to see the Bing chat icon in your Edge browser, follow the steps listed below to remove or hide it.

Step 1: Click on the Edge icon to open the Microsoft Edge browser. You can also search for it in the Start menu.

Step 2: Press the Menu icon and choose the Settings option. This opens the Edge settings tab.

Step 3: Navigate to the Sidebar tab on the left sidebar.

Step 4: Click on the Bing Chat option.

Step 5: Turn off the Show Bing Chat option.

That’s it. As soon as you do that, the Bing Chat icon is removed from the Edge toolbar. You will no longer see it in the Edge browser.
