How to Show or Hide Title Bar in Edge Vertical Tabs Mode

When using Vertical Tabs in the Microsoft Edge browser, you can show or hide the title bar to save space. Here is how in simple steps.

One of the best features Microsoft recently introduced to the Edge browser is Vertical Tabs. When enabled, all the tabs will appear on the left sidebar. As soon as the feature made its way to the stable build, I turned it on almost instantly. For a long time now, I always wanted a vertical tabs mode in the Edge browser mainly because I wanted more vertical space on the screen than horizontal space. After all, most websites and web services only use around 70% to 80% of the horizontal space.

In the early stages of the Vertical Tabs mode feature, the Edge browser still showed a title bar. As you can guess, for me, this defeated the purpose of enabling the Vertical Tabs because it did not increase the vertical space. In fact, it further reduced the overall screen space by adding a sidebar to the left of the screen.

Thankfully, in the recent update, Microsoft added an option to show or hide the title bar in Vertical Tabs mode in the Microsoft Edge browser. All it takes is two clicks to change the option. So, if you don’t want to see the title bar when in Vertical Tabs mode, you can remove it and vice versa.

In this quick and easy Microsoft Edge guide, let me show you how to show or hide the title bar when using Vertical Tabs in the Edge browser.

  1. Show or hide title bar from Right-click menu
