Once you log into your Google account in Chrome, it automatically syncs your browsing history, passwords, bookmarks, etc., so that all your browsing data is here and you don’t have to start afresh. While useful, under certain circumstances, you might want to sync Chrome with your Google account. In those cases, you can simply turn off Chrome sync with just a couple of clicks.

Step 3: Ensure you are in the You and Google tab and press the Turn off button.

Step 4: Press the Turn off button in the confirmation window.

Note: If you want to delete all the browsing data while turning off sync, select the “Clear bookmarks, history, passwords, and more from this device” checkbox before pressing the turn-off button.
