How to Change or Set Default Font & Font Size in Edge Chromium

In the new Edge browser, you can set your own default font and font size. Follow these steps to change or set default font in Edge Chromium.

The new Edge browser is out in the wild now and you can download and install it like any other browser. In fact, in the next Windows 10 versions, the Edge Chromium will be the default browser and old Browser will be disabled or removed. Of crouse, if you are a fan of the old one, you can still use the Old Edge browser alongside Edge Chromium.

Like almost all major browsers, the Edge Chromium lets you set the default font and font size. The default font and font size are applied by the browser when a website hasn’t specified any font styles. This is especially useful if you are accessing old websites or web services.

So, without further ado, let me show the steps to change the default font and font size in the Edge Chromium browser.

Change Default Font Size in Edge Chromium

Edge makes it quite easy to change the default font size. All you have to do is select a font size from the dropdown menu and you are done.

1. First thing, open the Edge Chromium browser if it is not already opened. You can do that either by double-clicking on the desktop shortcut or by searching for it in the start menu.

2. In the browser window, click on the “Menu” icon (three horizontal dots) appearing on the top right corner. In the menu, click on the “Settings” option.

That is it. The settings are automatically saved. From now on, whenever a website doesn’t provide any default font, these font settings will be automatically applied.

If you ever want to restore the original font settings, select the fonts as shown below.

  • Standard font: Times New Roman
  • Serif font: Times New Roman
  • Sans-serif font: Arial
  • Fixed-width font: Consolas

If you want to, you can even fully reset the Edge Chromium browser.

I hope that helps. If you are stuck or need some help, comment below and I will try to help as much as possible.
