Recently, Google has been pretty active in adding new features to the Chrome browser. After the UI update, you can now customize the Chrome theme with AI (Artificial Intelligence). Generally, Chrome comes with a few default themes and if you need anything more, you need to install themes from the Chrome web store. However, now you can use the AI functionality in Chrome to customize the theme however you want. In this article, we’ll show you how to enable the AI theme feature and customize Chrome themes with AI. Let’s get started.
Update Chrome
The first thing you should do is ensure that your Chrome browser is up-to-date. If not, you will not be able to use AI themes on Chrome.
Enable Experimental AI Features
To be able to create AI themes in Chrome, you need to enable the experimental AI features option. Here’s how to do it.
1. Open the Chrome browser from the Start menu.
2. Click the three dots in the top-right corner to open the Menu.
3. Select the Settings option.
4. Navigate to the Experimental AI tab.
5. Turn on the Try out experimental AI features toggle.
6. Turn on the Create themes with AI toggle.
Note: If you cannot find the Experimental AI tab on the Settings page, either your browser isn’t up-to-date or the feature is not yet available to you.
Customize Theme with AI
To create and customize your Chrome theme with AI, follow the below steps.
1. Launch the Chrome browser and open a new tab in it.
2. Click on Customize Chrome at the bottom right.
3. Click on Change theme and then select Create with AI.
4. Select the topic/subject from the first dropdown and style, mood, and color from optional dropdowns. Click the Create button.
5. Chrome automatically generates a few AI themes based on your choices. Choose a theme to apply it.
