Turn off all notifications in Chrome

Follow the below steps to disable all Chrome notifications.

Step 1: Open the Chrome settings page in your browser.

First of all, open the Chrome browser. You can search for “Chrome” in the Start menu and click/tap on the relevant result or click the Chrome icon if it is pinned to the taskbar. Once opened, click the menu icon (three vertical dots) in the top right corner and select the “Settings” option to open the Chrome settings page.

Step 2: Go to the “Privacy and security > Site settings > Notifications” page.

In the Chrome settings page, select “Privacy and security” on the sidebar and then go to the “Site settings > Notifications page.” As you can guess, this is the page where you can manage notification settings in Chrome.

Step 3: Select the “Don’t allow sites to send notifications” radio option.

Once you are on the notification settings page, select the “Don’t allow sites to send notifications” radio option. This option stops all notifications in Chrome.

That is it. The changes are automatically saved, you can close the Chrome settings tab. From now on, all Chrome notifications are disabled.

Stop notifications from a specific website in Chrome

If you want to stop specific websites from settings Chrome notifications, follow the below steps:

Step 1: Open the Chrome browser and go to the Settings page.

Search for “Chrome” in the Start menu, double-click on the Chrome desktop icon, or click on the Chrome taskbar icon to open the browser. Once opened, open the Settings page by clicking the Menu icon (three vertical dots) on the top right corner and selecting the “Settings” option. You can also type “chrome://settings” in the address bar and press Enter.

Step 2: Go to the “Privacy and security > Site settings > Notifications” page.

Once you are on the Settings page, click on the “Privacy and security” tab on the sidebar. Next, click on “Site settings” and then go to the “Notifications” pages.

Step 3: Click the “More actions” icon (three vertical dots) next to the website name and select “Block.”

On this page, you will see a list of all the websites that can send Chrome notifications under the “Allowed to send notifications” section. Click the “More actions” icon (three vertical dots) next to the website name and select the “Block” option. As soon as you do that, the website is moved to the “Not allowed to send notifications” section.

That is it. From now on, that specific website cannot send notifications in Chrome. Do keep in mind that the next time you visit the website, it might show a pop-up asking permission to send notifications. Don’t allow and reject the notification request.
