The first thing you see on turning on your computer is the lock screen. By default, the lock screen shows the current date and time, calendar events, and wallpaper info. In addition to this, you can also add weather info to the Windows 11 lock screen. Once added, Windows 11 uses the location information to show the climate info on the lock screen.

Step 1: Launch the settings window.
First, open the Settings window by clicking the gear icon on the taskbar. Alternatively, press the Start key + I keyboard shortcut or search for Settings in the Start menu. This opens the settings window.

Step 2: Open the Personalize > Lock screen page in Settings.
In the settings window, navigate to the Personalization tab on the sidebar. This page is where you will find options to customize how Windows 11 looks. On this page, click on the Lock screen option. As you’d guess, this option allows you to customize the lock screen.

Step 3: Select ‘Weather’ from the ‘Lock screen status’ dropdown.
On the lock screen settings page, select “Weather” from the “Lock screen status” dropdown menu. Your changes are automatically saved.

That is it. From now on, Windows 11 lock screen will show the weather info. If the climate info is wrong, you can change the weather location on Windows 11 via the Weather app.
