Most people do not know that Windows 10 and 11 include a built-in Reliability Monitor. In truth, this feature has been available since Windows 7, as well as Windows 8. The Reliability Monitor, as the name suggests, displays your computer’s reliability information. The good news is that it provides a lot of information that other built-in tools, such as the Task Manager, do not.
Thankfully, the Reliability Monitor runs in the background and logs all the important events to the Reliability History. For example, if a program or system crashes, the Reliability Monitor logs it in the report. You can open the Reliability History to find all Windows’s faults, issues, and problems.

You can view the Reliability History from the Control Panel. Here is how.
- Launch the Start menu.
- Search and open “Control Panel.”
- Click on “Security and Maintenance.”
- Expand the “Maintenance” section.
- Click the “View reliability history” link.
- This will show the reliability history.
- Click the “View all problem reports” link at the bottom to see all problem reports.
- It will show all the recorded problems.
- Click the “Save reliability history” link to save the reliability history to a file.

Open the Control Panel window. You can search and open it from the “Start” menu.
After opening the Control Panel window, find and click the “Security and Maintenance” option. If you can’t find it, set the “View by” to “Large icons.”
Expand the “Maintenance” section on this page. Next, click the “View reliability history” link.
This action shows the reliability history on a timeline. You can click on the timeline to see the recorded prompts. Click the arrow icons before and after the timeline to move the timeline back and forth.
Click the “View all problem reports” links at the bottom to see all the recorded problems.
It neatly lists all the problems the Reliability Monitor found and logged.
Once you have the necessary information, you can save the reliability history. For that, click the “Save reliability history” link at the bottom.
Go to the location, type a name of your choice, and press the “Save” button.
You can now close the Reliability History window.
