How to open Computer Management from the Start menu

As with any application, you can simply search for “Computer Management” in the Start menu and open it from there.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Open the Start menu.
  2. Search for “Computer Management.”

  4. With that, Windows opens the Computer Management tool.

As soon as you click on the result, Windows opens the Computer Management tool. You can also open it with admin rights. For that, right-click on the “Computer Management” result and select the “Run as administrator” option.

Use a run command to open Computer Management

As with most tools, Windows has a dedicated run command to open the Computer Management application.

Here’s how to open Computer Management from Run:

  1. Press the “Win + R” keyboard shortcut.
  2. Type “compmgmt.msc” in the blank field.

  4. Run the “compmgmt.msc” in the terminal window.
  5. With that, Windows opens the Computer Management tool.

If you want to open Computer Management with a keyboard shortcut, right-click on the newly created shortcut and select “Properties.”
