How to Disable OneDrive Memories Notifications

OneDrive users on Windows occasionally see the ‘Look back at your memories‘ and ‘On this day‘ notifications displaying your photos and other images saved to OneDrive. While this can be a good thing, It can also be a distraction. In some cases, it can also be a privacy issue if you don’t want your photos to be displayed in random notifications.

1. First, right-click on the OneDrive icon on the taskbar.

2. Click on the Gear icon and select Settings to open OneDrive settings.

3. In the OneDrive settings window, navigate to the Notifications tab.

4. Turn off the Notify me when “On this day” memories are available toggle.

From now on, you will not see the OneDrive memories notifications such as ‘Look back at your memories‘ and ‘On this day‘ on Windows 10 & 11.

Stop OneDrive Memories Emails

If you don’t want to receive on this day memories emails from OneDrive, follow the below procedure to disable those email notifications.

1. Launch the browser of your choice.

2. Open the OneDrive website in your browser and log into your account.

3. Click the Settings icon (it looks like a gear) on the top right corner.

4. Click the Options link.

6. Uncheck the On this day memories are available checkbox under Send me email when section.

That’s it. From now on, OneDrive will not send ‘On this day’ memories email notifications.
