To delete a recurring event created by you, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open Google Calendar in a web browser of your choice. Log into your Google account if needed.

Step 2: Find and right-click on the recurring event and select “Delete.”

Step 3: Select “This and following events” or “All events” and click/tap the “Ok” button.

  • This event: This option allows you to delete only the specific occurrence you’ve selected without affecting future instances or the entire recurring event.
  • This and the following events: Selecting this option removes the chosen occurrence and all future instances while keeping the previous events intact.
  • All events: By choosing this option, you delete the entire recurring series, including past, present, and future occurrences, erasing the event completely from your calendar.

2. Delete a recurring event you are invited to

If you joined a recurring event created by someone else using an invite, follow the below steps to delete it:

Step 1: Open Google Calendar in the Chrome or Edge browser. If needed, log into your Google account.

Step 2: Right-click on the joined recurring event entry and select the “Remove” option.

Step 3: Select “This and following events” or “All events” and click/tap the “Ok” button.

  • This event: This option allows you to delete only the specific occurrence you’ve selected without affecting future instances or the entire recurring event.

Restore deleted events in Google Calendar

All deleted events in Google Calendar are moved to trash. If you want, you can restore any deleted event in Google Calendar from trash. Here’s how.

  2. Click the “Settings” (gear) icon on the top-right corner.
  3. Select the “Trash” option.
  4. Click/tap the restore icon next to the event entry.
  5. The deleted event is restored in Google Calendar.
