How To Change the Virtual Desktop Wallpaper in Windows 11 & 10

Learn how to set custom wallpapers for each virtual desktop on Windows 11 & 10 in two easy methods.

One of the best features in both Windows 11 and Windows 10 is the ability to create and use virtual desktops using the “Task View” button on the taskbar. They are like separate workspaces that let you segregate your tasks. That way, you can stay organized and focused. For example, have all your work-related apps open on one virtual desktop and your personal stuff on the other.

By default, all the virtual desktops automatically use the same desktop wallpaper as your primary desktop. While there is nothing wrong with it, having identical wallpapers can make it harder to tell your workspaces apart at a glance. Thankfully, you can easily set a different wallpaper for each virtual desktop with just a few clicks.

In this quick and easy guide, I will show two methods to change the wallpaper of a virtual desktop in Windows 11 and Windows 10. Let’s get started.
