Troubleshooting
The alarm is not triggering
For the alarm to work in Windows 11, your computer should be turned on. If your computer is in sleep/hibernation mode, the alarm will not work.
Additionally, make sure the alarm has permission to run in the background. To verify it, open the Settings app, go to the “Apps > Installed Apps” page, click the three dots icon next to “Windows Clock” and select “Advanced Options”. Next, select “Always” from the “Let this app run in background” dropdown menu.
Alarm not ringing
First, check your system volume and ensure it is not muted or set too low.
Next, open the “Settings” app and go to the “System > Notifications” page. Here, scroll down and ensure the “Clock” option under “Notification from apps and other senders” is turned on.
Ensure that Focus Assist (Do Not Disturb mode) is not preventing the alarm from ringing. Go to the “Settings > Notifications > Set priority notifications” page. Here, make sure the “Clock” app is listed under the “Apps” section. If not, click the “Add Apps” button and select the “Clock” app.
