Though you can still access hidden recycle bin in various methods, there might be times when you need to restore recycle bin icon on Windows 10. It is not hard, however, it can be confusing if you’ve never done it. This is especially true if you forgot the procedure.
So, without further ado, let me show you how you can unhide recycle bin icon in Windows 10 in simple steps.
Steps to Restore Recycle Bin Icon
To restore the icon, all you have to do is select a checkbox and you are good to go. It’s just that you need to know where to find the option to do so. Follow the steps and you will be good.
1. First, open the PC Settings app by searching for it in the start menu or by clicking on the “All Settings” button in the Notification center. Alternatively, you can also press the Win + I keyboard shortcut.
2. In the Settings app, go to “Personalize” page. This is where you will find various options to customize different things on your Windows 10 system.
3. In the Personalize page, go to the “Themes” tab appearing on the left panel. On the right-panel, click on the “Desktop icon settings” link.
4. The above action will open the icon settings window. Here, select the “Recycle Bin” checkbox and click on the “Apply” and “Ok” buttons to save changes.
That is all. The changes are instantaneous. You should see the recycle bin icon on the desktop. Generally, it will be placed to the leftmost side of the screen.
