How to Hide or Remove Meet Now Icon on Taskbar

If you are not using the new Meet Now feature, you can remove it. Follow these steps to remove the Meet Now icon on the taskbar on Windows 10.

With the latest update, Microsoft silently added a new icon called “Meet Now” to the taskbar. As you can guess from the name itself, it allows you to create or join meetings with just a couple of clicks. Of course, the Meet Now button only works with official Microsoft services like Skype and Teams.

If you are working from home and regularly joining meetings via Skype or Teams then the new Meet Now icon is pretty handy because it gives you quick access. Not only for meetings but for personal video chats too. On the other hand, if you are not creating or joining any meeting or using the video chat functionality, the new ‘Meet Now’ icon is just unnecessary on the taskbar. Thankfully, you can easily disable the Meet Now icon and remove it from the taskbar.
