What Is The Vulnerability And How It Works

Internet Explorer has a memory corruption flaw which lets the attackers manipulate the memory in such a way to execute arbitrary code. This all happens when you visit a booby-trapped website. When successfully exploited, the attacker will have the same user privileges as the actual user using the system. As you can guess, if the current user is an administrator, the attacker will also have the same privileges and can do pretty much anything on the exploited computer. If you are interested, you can know more about the exploit from the Microsoft Security Advisory CVE-2018-8653.
