Increase Brush Size in Paint Using the “Size” Slider
Note: This method only works in Windows 11’s modern Paint app. If you are using Windows 10 or an older version of Paint, follow the second method.
- Click the “Brush” button on the top command bar.
- On the right side of the paint window, you will see a floating slider.
- Move the slider to the top to increase the brush size.
- Keep in mind that the brush size limit is 248 pixels.
- To decrease the brush size, move the slider down.

Increase Brush Size in Paint Using Keyboard Shortcut
If you are using Windows 10 or an older version of Paint, you can increase or decrease the brush size by pressing the “Ctrl + Plus (+)” and “Ctrl + Minus (-)” shortcuts, respectively.
