Like any other web browser, you can easily bookmark any webpage or website with just a click or keyboard shortcut. Once bookmarked, you can access that page or site using the bookmarks bar and the bookmarks manager page. By default, the bookmarks bar is hidden. That means, unless you open a new tab, you won’t see the bookmarks bar.
If you’d like to have quick access to all your bookmarks, you can configure Chrome to always show the bookmarks bar. On the other hand, if the bookmarks bar is currently visible and you want to save screen space, you can manually hide it.
So, without further ado, let me show you three easy methods to show or hide the bookmarks bar in Google Chrome. Let’s get started.
Show or Hide Bookmarks Bar in Chrome Using Keyboard Shortcut
First, make sure the Chrome browser is open. If it is not, open the Start menu, search for “Google Chrome“, and click “Open“. Next, press the “Ctrl + Shift + B” to show or hide the bookmarks bar.
Show or Hide Bookmarks Bar in Chrome Using the Customize Menu
In the Chrome browser, click the “Customize” icon (three vertical dots) in the top-right corner. From the menu, select “Bookmarks and lists” and then select the “Show bookmarks bar” to show the bookmarks bar and “Hide bookmarks bar” to hide it.

Show or Hide Bookmarks Bar in Chrome Using Settings
To start off, launch the Chrome browser by searching for “Google Chrome” in the Start menu. Once it opens, type “chrome://settings” in the address bar and press “Enter” to open the Settings tab. You can also open it by clicking the “Customize” icon (three vertical dots) in the top-right corner and selecting “Settings”.
Go to the “Appearance” tab on the sidebar and turn ON or OFF the “Show bookmarks bar” toggle to show or hide the bookmarks bar.

That is all. It is that simple to enable or disable the bookmarks bar in Google Chrome. If you have any questions or need help, comment below. I’ll be happy to assist.
