Google Chrome recently added the “Ask Gemini” button to the title bar. Here’s how to show or hide the “Ask Gemini” button in Google Chrome.
With the recent update, Google added a new AI button called “Ask Gemini” to the Chrome browser’s title bar. Clicking the button opens a chat sidebar that takes the content from the current tab, allowing you to ask questions and do research using the AI agent. Additionally, it even adds a new taskbar icon that lets you quickly toggle Gemini in Chrome. While this is a useful feature, what if you don’t want or use AI in your browser? In that case, the new button is just a wasted space. On the other hand, you might like the feature but don’t like the “Ask Gemini” button in the title bar, as it is consuming previous real estate.

Thankfully, it is pretty easy to remove or hide the “Ask Gemini” button on the Chrome title bar. Even after hiding it, you can still access the functionality using the keyboard shortcut. In this quick and easy guide, I will show you how to show or hide the “Ask Gemini” button on the Chrome title bar. Let’s get started.
