Want to adjust your monitor or screen brightness automatically based on time? Follow these simple steps to schedule monitor brightness on Windows 11 & 10.
As computer users, we’re constantly looking at our screens. However, we generally forget or ignore to adjust the screen brightness depending on the time of day. This can really strain your eyes and may even damage them in the long run. For example, having a bright monitor in a dimly lit room is pretty harsh on your eyes. Thankfully, you can force Windows to change the screen brightness depending on the time of the day. This not only reduces eye strain but also improves power consumption and saves battery.
In this tutorial, let me show you the steps to schedule monitor brightness on Windows 11 and Windows 11. Let’s get started.

Detailed Steps (With Screenshots)
First, go to this page and download the latest version of Twinkle Tray installed. You will find the installer file under the “Assets” section.

After that, double-click the downloaded file and it will be installed and open automatically. Next, find and right-click on the Twinkle Tray app icon in the taskbar and select the “Settings” option. This opens the Twinkle Tray settings window.
Note: If you don’t see the app icon on the taskbar, check the hidden icons by clicking the “Up” arrow. If you still don’t see it, the app might not be open. To open it, search for “Twinkle Tray” in the Start menu and click “Open”

In the Settings window, go to the “Time Adjustments” tab from the left sidebar and click the “Add a time” button on the right page.

First, click the time field and set the morning time in 24-hour format. For example, I set the time to 08:00. Next, use the brightness slider set under it to adjust the brightness level you want for that time. For instance, I’m setting it to 60%.

Next, click the “Add a time” button again. Set an evening or nighttime in 24-hour format and adjust the brightness using the slider under it. For example, I set the second time to 18:30 (6:30 PM) and brightness to 30%.

That is all. With that, you are done scheduling your screen brightness on Windows. You can close the app window. From now on, Twinkle Tray will automatically adjust the monitor brightness depending on the time settings.
