You can now resize the Start menu in Windows 11 to suit your preferences or the screen size in Settings. Here’s how.

One of the newest features added by Microsoft to Windows 11 is the ability to change the Start menu size. In case you don’t know, on Windows 10, the Start menu can be resized freely with the mouse. The same feature is now available in Windows 11. Using the Settings app, you can make the Start menu small or large, or let Windows 11 decide its size based on your screen size.

In this quick and easy guide, I will show you the steps to change the Start menu size in Windows 11 using the Settings app.

Before You Start

  • The option to resize the Start menu in Windows 11 is available only in build 26300.8553 (Experimental channel – 25H2).

  4. Select “Large” from the “Start menu size” dropdown to increase the size of the Start menu.
