How To Remove the Pinned Section in Windows 11 Start Menu

You can now easily hide the pinned section in the Windows 11 Start menu using the Settings app. Here’s how.

Microsoft is completely revamping the Start menu and giving users like us more control over how it appears and is used. One of those new options is the ability to completely remove or hide the pinned section from the Start menu. Generally, the pinned section in the Start menu appears at the top and lets you pin your most used or favorite apps so you can access them with just a couple of clicks. However, what if you don’t use it or want to make your Start menu minimal? Unlike in older versions, where you could not modify, remove, or hide certain parts of the Start menu, you can now simply remove the pinned section from the Start menu.
