How To Fix Games Stuck With Cloud Syncing Epic Games Launcher

One of the most common issues Epic Games Launcher users face is that when you try to launch a game, it gets stuck at “Cloud Syncing” and fails to launch. No matter how many times you try, all you see is a black & white game thumbnail and cloud syncing text under the game name. A couple of common reasons for this are the game crash, Epic Games Launcher crash, or the system crash. It can also happen when you put your system to sleep while the game is running and turn off the PC.

In some cases, Epic might face cloud conflict and ask whether you want to upload the local save file to the cloud or download the cloud save to the local machine. Typically, you’d want to keep the newer version of the save file, which is clearly labeled in the prompt. Choose the appropriate option depending on the saved file you want to use. For example, I want to use the newer save file. So, I selected the “Update to cloud” button as that is labeled as “Newer”.
