Microsoft Edge can now show your frequently visited sites on the taskbar. Here’s how to turn this feature on or off.
One of the new features in Microsoft Edge is that it can now show you frequently visited sites on the taskbar, specifically in the Edge icon’s jump list. Once the feature is enabled, it makes your most visited sites quick and easy to access. For example, if you frequently open your work, university, or other websites and want to access them quickly, you can right-click the Microsoft Edge icon and then select the website from the jump list.
Of course, if you don’t want your frequently visited sites in the jump list, you can turn off the Show Frequent Sites feature, and they will no longer appear. In this quick and easy guide, I will show you how to enable or disable the Show Frequent Sites on Taskbar feature in Microsoft Edge. Let me show you how.
Enable Show Frequent Sites on Taskbar in Microsoft Edge
- Open the Edge browser by searching in the Start menu.
- Click the “Settings and more” (three horizontal dots) icon in the top right corner.
- Select the “Settings” option.
- Go to the “Privacy, search, and services” tab on the sidebar.
- Click the “Search and connected experiences” option.
- Turn ON the “Show frequent sites on Windows taskbar” toggle.
- From now on, Microsoft Edge will display your frequent sites in the jump list.
Important note: If you don’t see the “Show Frequent Sites” toggle in the “Search and connected experiences” page, this feature is not yet available to you. Please try updating the Microsoft Edge browser to the latest version.
