First, go to the official Microsoft web page in the browser of your choice. This page lets you create a special link to download the ISO file. Here, scroll down to the “Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO)” section, select the “Windows 11 (multi-editions ISO)” option from the dropdown menu, and click “Confirm“.
After that, select the language of your choice from the “Select the product language” dropdown menu and click “Confirm“. In my case, I’ve selected “English (United States)” as the language.

- Go to the official Windows download page.
- Click the “Download Now” button under “Create Windows 11 Installation Media”.
- Open File Explorer by pressing the “Windows key + E” shortcut.
- Find and double-click the downloaded file.
- Click “Accept” to continue.
- Click “Next” in the “Select language and edition” page.
- Select the “ISO file” option and click “Next“.
- Select a folder of your choice and click “Save“.
- Media Creation Tool starts downloading the ISO file.
- Once done, the Windows 11 25H2 ISO file is saved to the selected folder.
Detailed Steps (With Screenshots)
First, we need to download the Media Creation Tool. To do that, go to this page, scroll down to the “Create Windows 11 Installation Media” section, and click the “Download Now” button.
The above action downloads the tool and saves it to your Downloads folder. Open the File Explorer by pressing the “Windows key + E” shortcut, go to the downloads folder, and double-click the downloaded file (MediaCreationTool.exe).
Once the tool opens, click the “Accept” button to continue.
Now, if you want to download the ISO file for your current computer, ensure that the “Use the recommended options for this PC” checkbox is selected, and then click “Next“.
If you want to download the ISO for another computer with a different language, uncheck the “Use the recommended options for this PC” checkbox, select the language of your choice from the “Language” dropdown menu, and click “Next“.
Select the “ISO file” option and then click “Next“.
When prompted, select a folder to save the file and click the “Save” button.
The above action starts the download process. The downloadable file size is around 6 GB. So, the time to complete the downloading process will depend on your internet connection speed.
Once downloaded, the tool displays the location where the file is saved. If you want, click the path to find the downloaded ISO file in the File Explorer. Click the “Finish” button to close the window.
