Steps to Disable Password After Sleep in Windows 11
- Use “Windows key + I” to open Settings.
- Go to the “Accounts” tab on the sidebar.
- Click the “Sign-in options” option.
- Select “Never” from the “If you’ve been away, when should Windows require you to sign in again?” dropdown menu.
- When prompted, type your PIN or password and press Enter.
- Close the Settings window.
- Restart your computer.
- With that, Windows 11 will not ask for the password on wakeup from sleep.
Detailed Steps (With Screenshots)
First, open the Settings app by pressing the “Windows key + I” shortcut. You can also right-click the Start button on the taskbar and select “Settings”. Once it opens, go to the “Accounts” tab on the sidebar and click the “Sign-in options” option on the right page.
On this page, scroll down to the “If you’ve been away, when should Windows require you to sign in again?” dropdown menu and select “Never“.
When you select the option, Windows prompts you for the admin password or PIN. Type it and press “Enter” and you are done.
