Learn how to configure Chrome to stop it from showing unnecessary notifications about new features and tips of the browser.
By default, the Google Chrome browser automatically displays notifications about new features and tips as and when they are available or when Google thinks it’s appropriate. Although Chrome generally doesn’t display many notifications about new features and tips, it can still be annoying to see them unexpectedly while working, gaming, or consuming media.
Thankfully, you can stop the Chrome browser from displaying new features and tips notifications. This quick and easy guide shows you how. Let’s get started.
Disable Chrome Features and Tips Notifications
- Open the “Chrome” browser.
- Click the “Menu” icon (three vertical dots) on the top-right corner.
- Select the “Settings” option.
- Go to the “System” tab.
- Turn OFF the “Show system notifications about Chrome features and tips” toggle.
- From now on, Chrome will not show notifications for new features and tips.
Detailed Steps (With Screenshots)
First, we need to open the Chrome browser. If it is already open, skip this step. Otherwise, open the Start menu by pressing the “Windows key”. Next, search for “Google Chrome” and click the “Open” option. This action opens the Chrome browser.

Once it opens, we need to open the Settings tab. To do that, click the “Menu” icon (three vertical dots) on the top-right corner and select the “Settings” option.

In the “Settings” tab, go to the “System” tab on the sidebar and turn OFF the “Show system notifications about Chrome features and tips” toggle.

That is all. With that, you’ve configured Chrome to stop showing notifications for new features and tips.
