Learn how to change the shortcut you use to lock or unlock the zoom controls in Magnifier on Windows 11 using the Settings app.
Windows 11, in the recent update, added an option to quickly and easily lock and unlock the zoom controls in Magnifier using a keyboard shortcut. By default, that keyboard shortcut is “Ctrl+Win+K”. While the default shortcut is pretty good, if you want to, you can change this shortcut to another predefined keyboard shortcut using the Settings app. In this quick and easy guide, I will show you the steps to change the keyboard shortcut to lock and unlock the zoom controls in Magnifier on Windows 11. Let’s get started.

Before You Start
- You should be using Windows 11 build 26340.9354 (v26H2) or higher.
Change the Keyboard Shortcut to Lock or Unlock Magnifier Zoom
To get started, use the “Windows key + I” to launch the Settings app. Once it opens, go to the “Accessibility” tab on the left sidebar of the Settings app and then click the “Magnifier” option in the right panel.

Now, scroll down to the “Multiple display controls” section and choose the keyboard shortcut of your choice from the “Lock view shortcut” dropdown menu. You can choose between “Ctrl+Win+K” (default) or “Ctrl + Alt + P“.
Once you select the keyboard shortcut, your changes are saved automatically. You can close the Settings. Once that is done, you can lock or unlock the Magnifier zoom control using the new shortcut.
That’s it. Write down below any questions or comments you have. I’ll respond as quickly as possible.
