What is God Mode?
God Mode is a simple built-in Windows trick that allows you to access all most all the settings in a single folder. Unlike the Control Panel, the best thing is that you don’t have to go through various menus to find what you are looking for.
All the settings are neatly categorized into their little sections. This allows easy identification of a particular setting, option, or tool you are looking for.
Below are the main sections that you will find in the Windows God Mode folder. Each section further has its own settings, options, and tools.
Remember that the God Mode doesn’t give you access to new options available only in the PC Settings. It is limited to the Control Panel tools and options. For instance, you will not find options or tools to manage Cortana, Windows Spotlight, Focus Mode, Privacy settings, etc.

Enable God Mode in Windows 10
It is relatively easy to turn on God Mode on Windows 10. All you have to do is create a new folder and rename it with a specific string. Let me show you the exact steps.
- Right-click on the desktop.
- Choose the “New > Folder” option.
- Paste the below string as the folder name.
GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} - With that, you created the God Mode folder.
- Double-click on the new folder to see all the available options.
1. Right-click on the desktop and select New -> Folder. If you are wondering, it doesn’t have to be on the desktop. You can create the God Mode folder in any folder or drive. I’m doing it on the desktop because it is more accessible. You can use any folder you want.
2. Name the newly created folder with the below string. You can copy and paste the string to ensure it is the same.
GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
3. That is it. Once you rename the folder, it will turn into the God Mode folder. You’ve successfully enabled God Mode on Windows 10.
4. Double-click on the folder, and you will see a list of all the available tools on a single page.
Since it is just a folder, you can move it to any place or folder you want. It doesn’t have to be in the same place to work.
Enable God Mode in Windows 11
Follow the below steps to turn on God Mode in Windows 11.
- Right-click on the desktop.
- Choose the “New > Folder” option.
- Paste the below string as the folder name.
- GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
- With that, you created the God Mode folder.
- Double-click on the God Mode folder to see all the available options.
Disable God Mode in Windows 11 and 10
When you think you no longer need the God Mode, you can disable God Mode in Windows. To do that, delete the God Mode folder, and you are done. There are no settings whatsoever.
God Mode Limitations
God Mode doesn’t show options or tools available only via the Settings app. For example, you will not find options or tools to manage Cortana, Windows Spotlight, Focus Mode, Privacy settings, etc.
Don’t think the God Mode gives you some super power over your system. God Mode is limited to listing available Windows advanced settings on a single page.
Other than that, it does nothing much. Just create a God Mode folder and place it somewhere you can remember. When you can’t find a particular option in the control panel, you can use the God Mode folder to find it.
Think of it as an accessibility feature, not a super powerful option that lets you do anything you want.

If you don’t like the name “GodMode”, you can change it without losing functionality.
E.g.: A name of “All Settings.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}”
Caused the opened file on my desktop to identify as: “C:\Users\Andrew\Desktop\All Settings”
The name only shows up in the title bar and path of the file anyway, or in a Command Prompt Dir listing or similar, with the Icon appearing without a name in Explorer or on the Desktop.
