As this is another patch Tuesday, Microsoft released an optional cumulative update for both v1909 and v1903 users. Since both v1909 and v1903 are common core operating systems, the same update is applicable to the both versions. Being an optional update, you don’t have to install the update right away. If you are worried about the stability, I recommend you wait a week or so before installing the update. That being said, the update has some important fixes and improvements as always. Some of those fixes and improvements include but not limited to Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Windows virtual desktop, HDR, device freezing issues, default apps setting, time zone issues, Microsoft surface device specific issues, etc.
Simply put, the update has quite a few important fixes. As I said before, this is still an optional cumulative update. So, if you are worried about the stability of the update, install it in a week or so just to be on the safe side. In the mean time, Microsoft will fix any propped issues.
Like always, you can install the update from the Settings app. Of course, given time, the update will automatically install itself as long as long as the auto updates are enabled.
