Word text predictions can be both annoying and incorrect at times. Here is how to disable word suggestions or text prediction in Word.
Most users prefer using Word for creating and editing documents. A few of the reasons include but are not limited to ease of use, excellent compatibility, industry-standard application, ability to create simple to complicated documents, and more. All in all, Word is a popular document editor and creator.
Since Word is so popular and essential to Microsoft, it constantly updates and adds new features to the application. One such new feature in Word is text prediction.
Text Prediction, often known as Word Suggestions, is a tool that anticipates your next words as you type. By clicking the tab key or ignoring the suggestion, you can accept or reject the text predictions on the fly. In principle, this should result in faster and more efficient typing.
However, as with any feature, it may or may not be helpful to all users. You can disable text prediction in Word if you don’t like it.
This quick and easy guide shows you how to turn off the Word suggestions or text predictions feature. Follow the steps as is, and it will be done in no time.
Note: The text predictions feature is only available in Office 365. If you are using Word 2019 or lower, you will not have access to this feature.
