If your PC has built-in Bluetooth, you can easily connect your Android device to Windows 11 using Bluetooth. Once connected, you can transfer files wirelessly between your Android and PC, share the internet using Bluetooth tethering, control your Windows PC, sync call logs and contacts, and even stream audio. In this tutorial, I will show you, step by step, how to pair an Android device with your Windows 11 PC via Bluetooth. Let’s get started.
Before You Start
- Ensure Bluetooth is turned on. To do this in Windows 11, click the Network/Volume icon in the taskbar, then click on the Bluetooth icon. When Bluetooth is enabled, the icon will change from its default grey color to a more vibrant, colorful icon.
- While not necessary, know your Windows 11 computer’s name as this is what will appear on your Android device while pairing/connecting. You can find your PC’s name at the top of the Home tab in “Settings.”
Connect Android to Windows 11 PC Using Bluetooth
- On your Android device, open Settings.
- Tap on the Bluetooth option.
- Scroll down and tap on your PC name under the “Available Devices” section.
- You will see the “Add a device” notification, click on it.
- Tap the Pair button on your Android device.
- Click Yes on your Windows 11 PC.
- Click Close.
- That’s it. You’ve connected your Android device and Windows 11 PC using Bluetooth.
Detailed Steps (With Screenshots)
First, open Settings on your Android device. You can do that by tapping on the Settings icon (gear icon) in the app drawer. In the Settings app, tap on the Bluetooth option.
Scroll down to the “Available Devices” section on the Bluetooth page and tap on your computer’s name.
Important note: If you don’t see your computer’s name here, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your computer.
You will then see a pairing notification on your computer. Click on the notification to start the Android Bluetooth to PC connection.
You will see a pairing dialog with a PIN on your screen. At the same time, you will see a pairing notification on your Android device with the same PIN. Tap the Pair button on your Android device.
On your PC, click Yes.
This action pairs your Android device to the Windows 11 PC via Bluetooth. You will see the dialog update to confirm the pairing. Click the Close button.
That’s it. You have connected your Android device and Windows 11 via Bluetooth. To verify, open the Settings app (press Windows key + I), and go to the Bluetooth & Devices > Devices page. You will see your Android device under the Other devices section.
