How to Change Lockscreen Background Wallpaper in Windows 10

As soon as you click the “Choose Picture” button, Windows will set the selected image as the lock screen wallpaper. You can verify it by pressing the Windows key + L” shortcut.

Enabling Windows Spotlight for Dynamic Lock Screen Backgrounds

Windows Spotlight is an awesome feature where Windows 10 automatically displays high-quality and curated images from Bing on your lock screen.   1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Go to the “Personalization” > “Lock screen” page.

You might want to remove the default “Pictures” folder if it is not needed. To remove it, click on the folder and then click on the “Remove” button.

To configure how the slideshow behaves, click on the “Advanced slideshow settings” option. It lets you configure the below options.

  • Only use pictures that fit my screen
  • When my PC is inactive, show the lock screen instead of turning off the screen.
